J.R.Liggett’s is an American company that has been in business for over 40 years. They are located in Cornish, NH where they still make their shampoo bars by hand, on a 250 year old farm!

J.R. was introduced to soap making at a very young age, as he grew up with family making their own soaps from fat and oil waste. J.R. continued making soap from scratch into his adult years, when he eventually stumbled upon a vintage recipe card for hair soap, which became the base for the now beloved J.R.Liggett's shampoo bars. After moving into the oldest farmhouse in Cornish, J.R.’s wife suggested that he sell his shampoo bars, making them the first traditional shampoo bar available in the modern market!
