Gray Green Goods grew out of a desire to create fun, beautiful, and functional things for people and their homes. Founder Jane Cuthbertson's career in graphic design naturally led her to further cultivate her love of textiles, paper, paint and ink. Spending part of her childhood in Japan gave Jane an appreciation for simple, beautifully crafted things, as well as an interest in seeing more of the world. The products Jane creates are inspired by many different cultures, and by her travels in West Africa, Egypt, China, Europe and Scandinavia. Matching different processes and techniques with various materials is the inspiration behind Gray Green Goods.

All Gray Green products are handmade by Jane in her studio near Boston, Massachusetts. Incidentally, gray and green happen to be two of Jane's favorite colors. Gray for its subtlety and complexity; green for its sense of calm and reference to nature. Gray Green Goods looks forward to beautifying your life and where you live it, simply.
