RETURNS AND REFUNDS POLICY

 

Your happiness is extremely important to us - and, so is the environment!

As a sustainability-focused company, Backyard Fern does not currently accept physical returns due to the environmental costs of shipping.*  (All Backyard Fern orders are sent with carbon neutral shipping and eco-friendly packaging, but there is no way for us to guarantee returns would follow these same standards.)

 

We take pride in the quality of the handcrafted products offered on backyardfern.com! If you are not satisfied with your order, contact hello@backyardfern.com within 14 days of your order’s delivery and we will work with you to try to resolve any issues! Please include your name, order number, and any photos that may be helpful in assessing your claim. Please be sure to review the refund restrictions listed below!

NOTE: Shipping charges cannot be refunded. Sale items are final sale and are not eligible for a refund. Orders using a coupon code are final sale and are not eligible for a refund. All refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of order's delivery.

 

REFUND RESTRICTIONS

Refunds will not be issued for the following reasons:

 

  • Unique markings 

Every product is handcrafted and may look slightly different from the online listing.

  • Delayed arrival

Backyard Fern is not responsible for shipping delays.

Once your package has been shipped, shipping times are out of our control.

(If you experienced a significant delay with your order's shipment, please reach out to hello@backyardfern.com within 14 days of when your order was scheduled to arrive.)

  • Buyer’s remorse

Backyard Fern does not issue refunds because the buyer has financial, or other, regrets.

Backyard Fern does not issue refunds because the buyer did not fully read a product's description and/or instructions.

  • Product(s) damaged during shipment

Backyard Fern ensures that every order leaves our facilities thoughtfully packaged to ensure safe arrival.

Backyard Fern is not responsible for goods that are damaged during transit. 

Every order from Backyard Fern is sent with insurance covering the order's total. 

If your order was damaged during transit, you can file a damaged goods claim with the postal carrier.

  • Theft

Backyard Fern is not responsible for any missing packages or package theft.

Please contact your local authorities immediately if you believe you have been a victim of theft.

You can also file a loss claim with the postal carrier.

*Apparel may be exchanged one time for a different size within 14 days of receiving order.

To qualify for an exchange, apparel must be in BRAND NEW condition (tags attached, no deodorant marks, no stains, not washed, no strong odors, no pet hair, etc.). If apparel is sent in for an exchange and found to not be in brand new condition it will be returned to the customer and the item will not be able to be exchanged.
